rebecca lynn sprague is a folk-inspired indie musician from Rhode Island, U.S.A. Her music is tenderly dominated by a crystal clear head voice, accompanied by western guitar and digital synthesizer. Her lyrics are confessional, narrative, and occasionally surrealistic, providing structure for her dexterous melodies. Listening, one is immersed in a melancholic yet buoyant longing.

Born in 1993, Rebecca was raised in the North American Folk tradition of artists like Joni Mitchell, Anais Mitchell, and local Rhode Island folk duo Atwater-Donnelly. Music and poetry were staples of her young life and later complemented her studies of Philosophy and Comparative Literature at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. But it wasn't until she began at the Fine Arts Academy in Münster, Germany, that Rebecca picked up a guitar and began songwriting. What at first was a pastime between painting sessions quickly became its own artistic practice. Shortly after, she completed her first EP body dreams with artist and producer Anton Zimmermann of Bohbi distributed in association with Stuhrwerk. She currently lives in Vienna, Austria.
